Draper Chain Hoist Review

Pros: simple and effective and it worked really well for me.

Cons: none I can think of.

I used the hoist to move sandstone blocks from a victorian porch to get to a broken lintel. This product was easy to use, not too heavy, and I was able to jump about the scaffold repositioning it between lifts very easily. I bought a Bow Shackle thinking I'd need it to gather the strops, but the hooks at both ends are more than big enough to take 4 strop ends for example. The fall was enough for the job I was doing but to get new stone to the height I need it at I'll have to rig up some ropes to take the weight of the blocks and reposition the hoist higher and lift in stages.
